Our Nutritionist's Review
First impressions? It looks delicious — and Lisa confirms it tastes as good as it looks!
When it comes to smoothies, adding protein and fibre is especially important, as they help transform a simple blend into something more satiating and balanced.
Protein
This smoothie packs in ~26g protein from the yogurt, milk, seeds, and collagen. Protein supports satiety, muscle repair, and immune function. The smoothie would also makes an excellent post-workout choice, delivering not just protein but also electrolytes, carbohydrates, and antioxidants.
Fibre
At 8.3g fibre per glass, it contributes meaningfully towards the daily target of around 30g. Fibre here comes from flaxseed, chia, and Benefit Menosupport Juice. Fibre supports gut and heart health, blood sugar balance, and satiety — exactly what you want from a smoothie that doubles as a light meal.
Micronutrients & Extras
Antioxidants from blueberries and the juice support cellular health.
Phytoestrogens in flaxseed may (limited evidence) help ease some menopause symptoms.
ALA (plant-based omega-3) from flax and chia contributes to heart and brain health.
Calcium from milk, yogurt, flax, and chia helps maintain strong bones.
Benefit® Menosupport Juice also brings a boost of essential vitamins and minerals — a convenient top-up on busy days:
B vitamins to unlock energy and support the brain and nervous system.
Vitamin C for immune function.
Magnesium to aid energy production, bone health, and potentially stress resilience.
Verdict
Lisa’s smoothie is more than just a refreshing blend — it’s nutritionally dense, high in protein and fibre, and rich in supportive nutrients. Think of it as a “meal in a glass” that works brilliantly as breakfast, a recovery shake, or a mid-afternoon energy lift.
In short: a big bang for your buck in both taste and nourishment!
